Both American League and National
League Champion pins were made for
pennant winning teams throughout the
1950s until 1958. National league teams
include; Phillies, Giants, Dodgers, and
the Braves. Outside the Cleveland
Indians in 1954, the Yankees won every
American
League pennant in that time
span. In 1959 the White Sox and Dodger
Champion pins were produced in a
different style pin.
Sold as a souvenir at Yankee
Stadium, this "Yankees American League
Champions" pin-back button
measures 1.25 inches. Yankee American
League Champion pin were also produced
in the 1950s. This pin was also
featured on the 1999 USPS 'The Century
- 1950s: World Series Rivals' postage
Stamp with the National League
Champions Dodgers pin.
