Mickey Mantle Coca-Cola Bottle Cap. This V8 cap
was one of a series of coke caps that included, Yankees,
V9
Elston Howard, V4 Dooley Womack, V 7 Jim Bouton,
V12 Bobby Murcer, V16 Fritz Peterson, V3 Jake Gibbs, V2 Ruben Amaro, V15 Steve Hamilton, and V6 Horace
Clark. There were other team sets made also. New York
Mets included; V21 Ed Kranpool, V34 Jerry Grote, and
V27 Ron Swoboda. Most of These caps go for a couple of
dollars, in used condition. The Bottle cap shown is an
un-used Mickey Mantle bottle cap, that came from the
factory. These caps in near mint condition ( no rust or
flaws ) can go as high as $75. average price being about
$35.
